ActivitiesThe activities are endless because of the natural beauty and warmth of the surrounding area. The twin bays, Manzanillo and Santiago, offer unlimited water sports. The beaches are a great place to relax, enjoy the sun, go for a swim or walk along the bay and take in the beach scene. Our beach at Olas Altas is also a favourite for surfing or boogie boards. The water is warm, clean and clear. The diving and snorkelling is world class with several exceptional dives within meters of the shoreline. Manzanillo is also known as the “Sailfish Capital of The World”. In fact every November Manzanillo hosts an international sailfish tournament. Away from the water, there is golf, horse back riding, hiking, ATV’s, rock climbing, mountain biking and kayaking to name a few. You could plan some short day trips to the beach towns of Bara de Navidad, Melaque or the colonial state capital, Colima, where there is an active volcano nearby. The Manzanillo area is also home to some well-preserved lagoons that attract a number of birds. If bird watching is your passion, grab some binoculars and your camera. There are also some Eco-Tour companies that have numerous outings available.
